What is collected

Your name and email address, the subjects you have subscribed to, which devices you are signed in on, and which chapters you have opened. Nothing else.

Why

The name and email are what appear on each page you read, so that a leaked copy can be traced. The device list is what enforces the three-device limit. The record of which chapters you opened is kept for 90 days and then deleted; it exists to spot an account being systematically copied.

Payment details

Card details are never seen by or stored on this site. Payment is handled by an external payment provider.

What your information is never used for

It is not sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you. There is no advertising on this site and no third party tracking.

Students under 18

This site is written for students sitting GCSE, IGCSE and A-level, so many readers are under 18. If you are, a parent or guardian should create the account and make the payment, and it is their name and email address that we hold and that appear on each page you read.

We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13. A parent or guardian can ask at any time to see what is held about an account, to correct it, or to have the account and everything in it deleted, by writing to excelwithosman@gmail.com. We delete it and confirm when it is done.

Deleting your account

Asking about your data

To see what is held about you, correct it, or have the account and everything in it deleted, write to excelwithosman@gmail.com. Deleting an account removes the profile, the record of which pages were opened and the list of devices. It is not reversible.

Payments are handled by Paddle, who are the merchant of record. The name, email and billing details you give at checkout are held by them under their own privacy policy, and this site never sees your card number.
